Description
As the third in a series for Schultz's Founders Scholar project, he produced an evening of staged readings called Spring Awakening vs. Spring Awakening. He and several students who participated in last fall's musical read analogous excerpts from both the Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik musical, as well as the controversial 1891 play by Frank Wedekind on which the musical is based. This reading was performed as a lecture demonstration with opportunities for questions from the audience. Readers include Evan Aanerud '21, Sally Bremer '18, Ben Erickson '18, Claire McManus '20, Thomas Pederson '18, and Katie Rowles-Perich '18.
