Description
When diving into history it is easy to find yourself lost in the text. This summer I got to actively sift through history bringing it to life searching to find the real depths that were waiting to be rediscovered. By working with Emily Bruce on studying the Wunsch family that lived in Morris I got to find out about the daughters of the family. In this study I find their lives and bring them into context as we look back at the difficulty of landholding as a woman and how these Wunsch sisters challenged and concurred with the demands of their time. All of which allowed for a deeper appreciation for not just history but the people you find in history, each person finding their own role large and small yet still important.
