Latterell Memorial Visiting Alumnus Program provides annual grants to disciplines within the Division of Science and Mathematics to invite alumni to campus to serve as resource persons for students and faculty.

Dan Rutherford
Dr. Dan Rutherford is the program director for marine and aviation at the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). The ICCT is a research-based environmental nonprofit best known for helping uncover the Volkswagen Dieselgate scandal. Dan acts as the ICCT’s chief representative to International Maritime Organization (IMO) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the UN agencies working on policies to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from marine vessels and aircraft. He has more than 15 years of researching international policies to control mobile source air pollution. Dr. Rutherford holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota at Morris and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University.
