Abstract
This small record series contains materials relevant to both sabbaticals and single-quarter leaves. Files contain both applications for leaves and award letters. Also contained are hand-written notes by administrators and internal memoranda discussing the decision process, the establishment of award criteria and the ranking of candidates. Materials grant an interesting internal look at the process and reflect on its competitive nature.
