Abstract
Chancellors Papers on the Budget include correspondence, memoranda, newsletters, reports, etc. on diverse matters involving the annual budget process. These materials include but are not limited to budget proposals, reviews, recommendations, activity fee reviews, guidelines/instructions, data reference reports, allocations, meeting agendas and minutes, academic evaluations and projections, retrenchment reports, newsletters, policies, hand-written notes, external communications, building requests, receipts (travel, food, activities, supplies, services, etc), tuition reports, legislative requests, salary changes and retirement options. Some materials discuss personal issues; and these papers include documents pertaining to the Rajender salary settlement, a class action lawsuit charging and proving gender discrimination. Others refer to retrenchment and reallocation decisions in the 1970s and 1980s. The bulk of the materials are from the 1980s and 1990, although a few records from the earlier period (1960s and 1970s) are also represented.
