UMM Miscellaneous and Correspondence: WCEDA (A1-K-v) contents
Abstract
The WCEDA (West Central Educational Development Association) was a group of local business people and promoters of education within the region. Materials in this record-subgroup detail the group's activities from the late 1950s until the early 1990s and provide an important look at the early history of the campus and, more specifically, the local efforts, often behind-the-scenes, to build and sustain UMM. In addition, these records document the changing relationship between local supporters and college administrators and faculty as UMM grew and matured. Of special note is the seemingly complete listing of "WCEDA Newsletters." Also included are brochures, correspondence, rosters of members and financial donors, financial statements, meeting minutes, news clippings.
