Abstract
ABSTRACT-PERT/CPM, an organizational technique, has more than proved its value in the planning and controlling of large scale projects, but ii also can be useful in the planning and direction of research programs and other smaller projects in connection with education and with the work of volunteer organizations. Although this method has seen little use by individuals in the academic communities, to whom project planning is new or infrequent, experience shows it can be applied lo their advantage, as this paper indicates.
